The most populated city in Coachella Valley, Indio is known as the “City of Festivals” because the many events that go on there including Coachella, Valley Music and Arts Festival, and so much more. Home to the Joshua Tree National Park, San Bernardino National Forest, and rich history, Indio is a great spot to spend some time!

When is the best time to visit Indio for good weather?

The best time to visit Indio is March through November. During the Summer months, it tends to get pretty hot, so if you don’t mind the heat, June through August would be a good time to go. December through February tend to be the coldest months, and wouldn’t be as enjoyable since many of the outdoor activites that Indio has to offer might not be as fun.

When is the best time to visit Indio for the most activities?

Many of the music festivals that happen near or in the Indio area tend to fall around April to August. So if you wanted to check out these festivals, that would be the perfect time to go!

East Indio Hills Trail
This intermediate-level trail starts at the parking lot and crosses several ridges and flat plains before leading through small slot canyons.
