Last week, the newly opened Coachella Lakes RV Resort held an inaugural grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The luxury RV resort partnered with the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce to commemorate the occasion.

“We are thrilled to officially open the doors of Coachella Lakes RV Resort and welcome guests to experience the beauty and tranquility of this remarkable destination,” said Jim Germyn, general manager, in a press release.

According to Erin Forrest, corporate director of sales and marketing for CRR Hospitality which owns and manages Coachella Lakes RV Resort, the event signified both a grand opening and an official welcome into the Coachella community.

“It’s an opportunity for us to welcome the community; welcome the vendors that we’ve worked with—the liaisons that we’ve worked with over the years—and helping us get this project off the ground and getting this […] project finished,” Forrest told Modern Campground in an interview leading up to the event. “[I]t’s a great way for us to come together and, you know, celebrate our successes.”

The resort’s first phase, which opened in September 2022, includes 92 RV sites, 8 vacation rentals, an 18-hole championship putting course, a clubhouse with amenities like a pool and pickleball courts, and a dog park.

As the luxury RV resort celebrated its grand opening last week, the evening featured live music performances, embodying the spirited ambiance of Coachella’s renowned music festivals. Attendees were offered tours of the property and amenities, including the pro shop, laundry facilities, and vacation rentals.

Representatives from the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce, local officials who supported the development, Riverside County officials, resort executives, vendors, and neighbors were present.

Coachella Lakes RV Resort is the third RV resort owned and managed by CRR Hospitality. Phase two development, expected to be completed in mid-2024, will add 250 RV sites and 7 more vacation rentals.

Mike Harrison, chief operating officer of CRR Hospitality, expressed enthusiasm about the resort’s future, stating: “Coachella Lakes RV Resort embodies our commitment to creating unparalleled experiences for our guests. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and look forward to becoming an integral part of the Coachella community.”

Moving forward, the resort plans to host a variety of community events, including fishing contests, arts and crafts, dog park socials, and more to provide a “community feel,” Forrest told Modern Campground. The location offers convenient access to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park.
