That range is exactly what makes it work for tournament play: a field of 40 can include serious short-game players and total beginners, and everyone still has a good time on the same course. - 18-hole, championship-caliber putting course, PGA-designed - Supports both stroke play and match play formats - On-site pro shop and clubhouse patio for check-in, scoring, and equipment - Approachable enough for mixed-skill fields, families, and beginners ![](https://coachellalakesrvresort.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/DSC1030-1024x683.jpeg) ### Why Coachella Lakes Is a Great Fit for Putting Tournaments #### A Course Guests Actually Want to Play Because The Course is PGA-designed and built for all skill levels, it draws a genuinely mixed field — great for a club tournament, a charity scramble, or a resort-wide social bracket alike. #### Pro Shop & Clubhouse On Site Check-in, scoring, and equipment needs are all handled steps from the first hole, with the clubhouse patio doubling as a natural gathering spot between rounds. #### Everyone Stays Together Full-hookup RV sites for anyone traveling with a rig, plus 15 fully furnished vacation rentals for players flying in — no shuttling your field across town. #### Room for the Ceremony The event lawn and amphitheater give you space for a check-in table, opening remarks, or an awards presentation within walking distance of the green. #### Group-Friendly Lodging Terms Group discounts are available for 10+ RV sites booked together, and you can reserve an extra site at 50% off as a tournament-director hospitality base. #### A Reason to Stay Longer About 23 miles from Palm Springs International Airport and minutes from Palm Springs and Joshua Tree — players and families can turn a tournament weekend into a full desert getaway. ### Built for Stroke Play or Match Play The Course supports the two formats most tournament directors already run: **stroke play**, where the lowest total score across all 18 holes wins, and **match play**, where players or teams compete hole-by-hole and the match is won once a player is up by more holes than remain. That flexibility makes it easy to run a straightforward stroke-play leaderboard for a large field, or a bracket-style match play tournament for a club or corporate group. ![Five people are on a putting green; two are high-fiving, while others stand nearby with golf clubs.
